Impact investing is already mainstream in private equity
Many believe that impact investing is far from mainstream. In spite of the fact that there are more and more global financial sector giants also changing their investment strategies. I think it is. Mainstream. At least within private equity investments. Furthermore, those who still believe that it will be many years before investors prioritize solutions for a better world, with the risk of a lower financial return, are losing track of market trends. That picture is simplyoutdated. It no longer makes sense to talk about the equation “impact vs. financial return ”. In the Nordic region's first market analysis of impact investing, 'Impact Report Nordic Investors', which we launched in the fall of 2019, we point out that 83% of Nordic investors expect their impact investments to deliver a financial return on par with, or better than, conventional investments.
